Shipping to Customers outside Europe

Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so if you are ordering from outside Europe you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when placing your order via our website for international delivery, you are considered the ‘importer of record’ and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the books.

Customs offices in some countries require the ‘importer of record’ to provide a particular form of identification before releasing a parcel.

Customs forms show the value of books included in the delivery. We provide such information to customs in order to simplify the process for our customers and to fulfil legal obligations. Customs can open and control packages.

The recipient of an international shipment may have to pay import duties and taxes. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.

Before you complete your order you should check the customs duties and taxes that may arise in your country. You are responsible for paying these customs duties and taxes.

Orders for delivery outside Greece:

Orders for abroad are sent by ELTA (Greek Postal Service), ACS Courier or UPS.
Delivery times depend on the customer’s country of residence.

Returns are accepted if one of the books in the order is faulty (i.e. if it is incorrectly printed). In this case, please return the book by ACS courier at the Monastery’s expense, if you are inside Greece, and by mail, if you are outside Greece, and we will replace it.

Note

In exceptional cases when books are ordered that are out of print or are in the process of being reprinted, there may be a short delay until our stock is replenished. In such cases we shall inform you by email or telephone.
Delivery times vary according to the shipping method that is chosen and the distance. It is possible that unforeseeable situations (such as strikes, exceptionally severe weather conditions etc.) may affect delivery times.
