All We the Faithful
All We the Faithful is a book interpreting the readings from the Epistle and Gospel for each Sunday. It explains the basic teachings of our faith and their implications for society today.
As well as being an aid to both catechumens and the faithful, it is also a reference book for sermons and talks.
Preaching is an integral part of the Divine Liturgy and of worship, because there are readings of passages from the Gospels and Epistles chosen by the Church at every service. Understanding these readings is not a matter for the intellect or imagination. It does not depend on our mental capacity, but on our spiritual state. When the heart is impure it cannot interpret the divine word correctly. The word of God has divine energy and eternal power which transforms people.
The explanatory commentaries in All We the Faithful are based on the teaching of the Fathers of the Church, who were unerring interpreters of the Scriptures.
