Flashes of Light
A Brief Overview of Orthodox Theology
Flashes of light from Orthodox theology that direct us towards the huge and wondrous theological universe of the Orthodox Church.
The first part, ‘Theological Illuminations’, includes papers and talks on the value of the theology of the Fathers of the Church.
The second part, ‘Theological and Scholarly Announcements’, contains texts from the ceremonies at which the author was awarded honorary doctorates by the Department of Social Theology of the Theological School at the University of Athens and by the Department of Medicine of the School of Health Sciences at the University of Ioannina. Two addresses to the Hierarchy of the Church of Greece and to the Conference of the Panhellenic Union of Theologians are also included.
The third part is a summary of the author’s lectures as Professor of Ascetic and Pastoral Theology on the Doctoral Program of Orthodox Studies at the Antiochian House of Studies in the USA.

The basic interpretative key is the healing of human beings so that they acquire true knowledge of God.
