Spoken addresses, transcribed from recordings, which were delivered by Metropolitan Hierotheos of Nafpaktos and St Vlassios during services, mostly at the Divine Liturgy, as well as at various conferences.

These addresses, although they reflect the spontaneity of the moment, do not express individual views, but are inspired by the atmosphere of worship. They are ecclesiastical and express the theology and experience of the Church.

"Words in Public" is a book that conveys many aspects of the wealth of the spiritual and ecclesiastical life, particularly in demanding and critical times. It will help readers to discern the pre-eminently theological message and charisma of the Orthodox pastoral ministry, which is far removed from moral and sentimental words.
