Books are Opened

Books are Opened is a collection of book criticisms and forewords written by Metropolitan Hierotheos of Nafpaktos during the first twenty years of his episcopal ministry (1995-2015), at the request of the authors. It also includes prefaces to publications of translations of his own books.

As a book enthusiast, Metropolitan Hierotheos in Books are Opened penetrates into the authors’ thoughts and participates in the labours and joys of researchers, making positive criticisms and recording his impressions on reading the books, from the perspective of his own writings. Skilled in the art of writing forewords, he distils the message of the books and presents the creative work of the authors.
